VCare aims to protect dignity, privacy, and wellbeing whenever its work involves children, older people, families, volunteers, or adults who may be vulnerable.

Treat every person with care, listen without judgment, and avoid language or conduct that exploits hardship.
Privacy and confidentiality
Share personal information only with authorized people who need it for a legitimate review or response.
Appropriate conduct
Volunteers and representatives should maintain clear boundaries, avoid conflicts of interest, and never use their role for personal advantage.
Children and vulnerable adults
Collect only the minimum information needed for an initial review. Guardian or appropriate adult involvement may be required. Do not request unnecessary child records, photographs, government identification, detailed medical files, bank details, or passwords.
Names, stories, or photographs should be published only after appropriate consent, privacy consideration, and safeguarding review. Consent may be withdrawn where reasonably possible.
Reporting a concern
Report safeguarding concerns privately to info@vcareassociation.org or use the Contact page. Give only the information needed to explain the concern. VCare may seek clarification, review the information, and identify an appropriate next step within its role and capacity.
VCare does not provide a 24-hour emergency response or guarantee intervention. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
